Venue Hire

Gunners Place hosts community activities and programs run by its four partner organisations: Barnardos Australia, Northside Community Service, Multicultural Hub, and Relationships Australia Canberra & Region. Outside of these times, the venue has limited availability for bookings by other organisations.

What we offer:

Hire options for community and government organisations.
A variety of spaces for hire, including an open community space and consultation rooms.
A kitchenette equipped with appliances and utensils for catering or refreshments.
Amenities such as restrooms, air conditioning/heating, and Wi-Fi.
Entertainment facilities, including table tennis, air hockey, and a TV.
A central location in Gungahlin, close to several dining options.

Short-Term Hire

Gunners Place offers short-term hire options, providing an ideal space for workshops, meetings, and other group activities or events. These can be approved quickly, pending availability.

Long-Term Hire

Gunners Place offers long-term hire options, providing a space for ongoing workshops, meetings, or recurring events. These bookings must be approved by the partnership, pending availability.

Consultation Rooms

Gunners Place offers consultation room, providing a private and professional space for meetings, client consultations, or one-on-one sessions.

Important Information Regarding Availability:

Gunners Place is community space run by a consortium of partnership organisations. Each partner utilises the space on a dedicated weekday during business hours for their specific community activities and events.

Weekday Business Hours Schedule

The primary user schedule during the school term in business hours is:

Monday: Northside Community Service (NB: May be available of hire by groups, pending availability).
Tuesday: Relationships Australia (NB: Currently unavailable for hire due to use for counselling services).
Wednesday: Barnardos Australia (NB: May be available for hire on a Wednesday morning, pending availability).
Thursday: Multicultural Hub (NB: Currently unavailable for hire on due to use for art activities).
Friday: Barnardos Australia (NB: Currently unavailable to hire on a Friday due to a long-term hire).

If you wish to enquire about hiring the space during business hours on a weekday (Monday-Thursday) during the school term, please contact us hellogunnersplace@gmail.com and you will be connected with the relevant organisation.

Other Important Notes

General Availability: The venue is generally available for hire after business hours and on weekends (pending availability). If you wish to book it on a weekday during business hours, you will be put in touch with the relevant partner organisation.
School Holidays: Availability is reduced during ACT school holidays due to our dedicated holiday programs.
Booking Lead Time: Please book in advance. Last-minute bookings are not possible as a site induction is required before your first use of the space.
Availability Calendar: Please refer to the calendar below for an induction of available dates. Note that this calendar is subject to change.
Final Approval: All bookings are subject to final approval. Weekday business hour bookings specifically require consent from the partner organisation designated for that day.
